One of the things we offer to help patients keep track of their health is the patient-requested reports feature, this enhances patient engagement, streamlines clinic operations and improves overall patient satisfaction.
Patients should be more informed and involved in their healthcare decisions, and having access to their medical records is crucial. So this feature allows patients to request and receive their reports.
Every patient is unique and their dental care needs are different. Medico offers customisable report options, so the dentists can tailor the reports based on the specific requirements of each patient.
Some examples of patient-requested reports:
- Detailed treatment plan
- Summary of past treatments
- Clinical notes report
- The patient history
The personalisation ensures that patients receive meaningful information that helps them understand their dental health better. It can also help them follow up with their treatment plans especially if the patient is moving to another country.
How to do that?
In Balsam Medico, all these reports can be done from each patient profile. To do that, select the Patients tab and choose the desired patient. Scroll down to the Patient reports and click on Create new report. To help the clinic run more smoothly, we created the “Clinical notes report” as a predefined report as we noticed it’s the most requested report of all. To create any other report simply click the Empty Report button. Now you can write into the Content textbox and add any additional data from the sidebar. You can add the treatments by their status, any custom treatments, and tick the options found such as Visit notes and patient history.
The report is now formed with the clinic information in the header, including the patient data already filled in by the system and the requested data you chose. You can print the form, and give a copy to the patient.
Another option we provided is to create Report templates. If you notice many patients ask for a specific report, you can create a template to help you make smoother operations. Click the “Manage report templates” to create a new one and to start giving all your patients the same report.
This feature can help retain and grow your patient base. It can enhance patient satisfaction and ease their access to their information. We know satisfied patients are more likely to remain loyal to their dental clinic and recommend it to others.
