  • The most important thing is to obtain permission. Always ask for explicit consent to use a testimonial publicly, especially if it includes identifiable details. Some patients may prefer anonymity which is fine as long as you maintain transparency. 

Once you collect them, it’s time to showcase these reviews in the best way possible. You can highlight them on your website, by creating a dedicated “Patient Stories” section or sprinkle testimonials throughout your site. Include photos (with permission of course) or even video testimonials for added authenticity. 

Social media platforms are the best way to share testimonials. Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn are great platforms. A before-and-after story of a dental makeover, paired with the patient’s own words, can be compelling.

Want to take it to the next step? Incorporate testimonials into your marketing! Use quotes in email campaigns, brochures and advertisements. Highlight diverse experiences to reflect the range of services your clinic offers. 

As mentioned earlier, authenticity is key. Avoid fabricating or exaggerating feedback, as this can harm your reputation. Instead, focus on curating a mix of experiences that represent your clinic’s strengths. 

When asking for testimonials, you can’t assume you will only be receiving positive feedback, negative ones might pop up. Addressing negative feedback is equally important. Responding professionally to criticisms shows accountability and commitment to improvement, which can enhance trust even more than glowing reviews.
